Peace Decle joined Randall Legal in September 2013. Since graduating from Law and Environmental Science degrees at Griffith University in 2000, Peace has worked in the legal field in various states and jurisdictions for 13 years.
Initially working in the field of Indigenous land rights at Cape York Land Council while studying at university and for 2 years post-graduation, Peace went on to work as a legal associate to Justice North in the Federal Court in Melbourne where she was exposed to a broad range of federal cases, including industrial actions and cases involving employment, bankruptcy, discrimination, taxation and immigration.
Peace was initially admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court in 2002, and then was admitted to the High Court and Supreme Court of Victoria while working in a private practice in Melbourne in 2003, predominantly in the areas of government law and decision-making.
Since moving to Lismore in 2005, Peace has been working as a family lawyer for Legal Aid NSW where she has specialised primarily in children's matters, including care and protection proceedings in the NSW Children's Court and parenting matters in the local court, Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia. Peace has extensive experience representing children in the Children's Court and, following specialist training, she has conducted matters as Independent Children's Lawyer in the family law courts. Peace is currently studying a Masters in Applied Law (Family Law) to consolidate and extend her experience in this area.
